Activities of Sathya Sai Organisation

According to teachings of Sathya Sai Baba, the basic nature of each being is divine. It is the source of our consciousness and life. The goal of different activities of Sathya Sai organisation is thus to bring one closer to their divine foundation and to allow them to realize it.

Sathya Sai Organisation works in many countries of the world. It activities may be divided to three areas – spiritual, service and educational. They typically comprise:

  • Spiritual activities:
    • Devotional singing
    • So called “study circles”, which are dedicated to reading and discussion on spiritual texts of Sathya Sai Baba and teachings of major religions of the world
  • Service activities:
    • Helping homeless people – food and clothing distribution, etc.
    • Visiting elderly and forlorn people in hospitals, old people's home, etc.
    • Helping elderly and unable people in their household. Help to people in need.
    • Working with people with physical or mental disabilities (providing morla support or organising various entertainment activities)
    • Working with various organisations including prisons to develop drug prevention education and mentoring schemes.
    • Setting up medical camps to provide free medical diagnostic, treatment and counselling service in countries where poor people have no access to this care
    • Helping with care for environment (e.g. tree planting, cleaning rivers and country lanes).
  • Educational activities:
    • Programmes for adults and children aimed at cultivating character and promoting human values and morality

The common goal of the activities is the spiritual growth, which enables every one to enjoy the inner peace without stress, disappointments and sorrows. Sai Organisation is open to all people regardless their religion or cultural background.

In the Czech Republic, the Sathya Sai Organisation organises regular service activities (mainly relief to homeless people), education in human values and spiritual activities. The current schedule of its activities for near future can be found here.
